Job Description

Laboratory Director needed for Midwest-based clinical and toxicology laboratory. The laboratory is in the business of analyzing saliva and/or urine for drugs of abuse, alcohol, steroids and prescription drugs utilizing LC/MS/MS technology exclusively. Research is also an integral part of the operation. This is a high complexity, CLIA-certified laboratory. The Laboratory Director is responsible for the overall operation and administration of the laboratory, including, without limitation, the day-to-day management of laboratory scientists and sample preparation personnel, compliance efforts and meeting the expectations of the customers by producing highly accurate test results. Other responsibilities are as defined in 42 CFR 493.1445 - Standard; Laboratory director responsibilities. This position reports to the president CEO. Qualifications: See 42 CFR 493.1443 - Standard: Laboratory director qualifications. A qualified applicant must also have had extensive hands-on use and understanding of LC/MS/MS technology in the context of a clinical chemistry and toxicology laboratory. Salary and terms of employment are negotiable and dependent upon education and experience.
