Job Description

Home care agency in New York City is seeking a Director of Finance. The individual will report to the CFO and directly supervise the Finance Manager. Will work collaboratively with all members of the unit, as well as with other units within the organization. Principle duties include: generating financial reports for the Board, employees and worker-owners; ensuring that CHCA and CHAP financial records are accurate, complete, and produced in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles GAAP. Will also provide timely and accurate analysis of financial reports that will assist the President, Board and other Senior Managers; develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism; serve as liaison for external financial institutions; participate in the development of goals, including financial profitability, quality jobs and quality care; participation in the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets. Will also have leadership responsibility for developing departments short and long term goals and strategies. Qualifications include: MBA or CPA; 3 years of senior level experience running a finance department; strong command of Microsoft Office Suite and Accounting Software; ability to supervise and support staff; exceptional interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills; capacity to identify complex issues; ability to work collaboratively; strong team player; flexibility working in a dynamic, changing environment; flexibility on work schedule to cover department and organizational needs.
